We’ve revamped Dock’s content management Library, making it easier to organize, share, and track the impact of your customer-facing content with Dock.

We had two big goals for this update:

  1. Make it more intuitive to structure your content library with more admin controls.
  2. Make it easier to find content with improved navigation, search, and filtering across the content library.

Here’s a quick TL;DR summary of what's new:

  • Overhauled Library navigation: Boards and Tags are more visible on the Library homepage to make it easier to find content.
  • Library settings: More admin controls and built-in suggestions to organize Boards and Tags.
  • Content tagging: We’ve made it easier to tag new and existing content.
  • Improved search: When searching for content, Boards and Tags are now included too.
  • Page templates: Turn workspace pages into templates, then add them to other workspaces.
  • "New Section" workflow: It's easier than ever to embed content in a Dock workspace.
  • Content Influence report: Track how your content is being used and how it’s impacting revenue.

We believe this update makes Dock a true content management alternative to legacy sales enablement tools like Seismic and Highspot. Most revenue teams don't need these heavy enterprise systems—they need a simple way to share content with customers—and that’s what we’re building at Dock.

📚 Content Management 2.0

Let’s walk through everything that’s new with the Library, Dock’s content management system.

Revamped Library Navigation

We’ve overhauled the Library homepage to make it easier to organize and find customer-facing content.

Content is now organized into Boards and Tags (we renamed “Collections” to “Tags” because this naming convention was more intuitive for folks).

A nested list of boards and tags is now available on the side navigation, with your high-priority boards clickable from the top, and a list of sortable files in the center.

All Boards & Tags are now available from the side navigation

We also reorganized the layout of the Boards themselves. You can filter each board by its Tags, see the board’s most viewed or most shared content, and sort content within each tag.

Boards are filterable by tags and sortable by most viewed/shared content

Manage Library Settings

Our new Manage Library settings page makes it simpler to manage your hierarchy of Boards and Tags.

Drag and drop Boards to reorder them in the main Library

This page also includes tons of suggested Boards and Tags to get you started.

Improved “New Content” Workflow

We’ve also made it easier to categorize content as you’re adding it to your Library, with an intuitive tag picker. You can also edit existing assets with the same tagging system.

Tag assets as you upload them

Search by Boards and Tags

Boards and Tags now show up in search results too, which should save your reps a few clicks when they’re looking for assets.

📄 Page Templates

Dock now has Page templates. You can turn any workspace page into a template and then add that page to other workspaces.

This makes it easy to drop in an extra page—like a competitor comparison or onboarding plan—without having to include it in your main workspace template.

To turn an existing page into a template, just select Save as Template.

Save any workspace page as a template

You can access all your Workspace, Section, and now Page templates from the Templates page.

Find your page templates on the Templates page

To add a page template to an existing workspace, just click + and select From template page.

Create a new workspace page from a template

We’ve also added template permissions, which give you the option to make a template private until it’s ready to be shared with everyone.

✨ New “Add Section” Flow

Adding a new section to a Dock workspace is now much more intuitive. Now, everything you can embed in a workspace is available in one click.

We've revamped the "Add Section" workflow

The Add section workflow is now searchable too. Type “video”, for example, and you’ll see all the video embedding options.

📈 Content Influence Report

The new Content Influence report shows how often your library content is being used and how it’s impacting revenue.

The report includes:

  • Number of assets: the number of pieces of content in the library
  • Content shares: the amount of times content has been shared directly
  • Content client views: how many times assets have been viewed by a client
  • Utilization rate: % of content that has been shared at least once
  • Engagement rate: % of content has been viewed at least once

The report also includes…

Content Engagement Over Time

The report also visualizes content engagement over time, including Client Views of your assets and Shares from your reps.

Top Content

You can also see a greatest hits list of your top-performing content, including views, and shares for each asset. For PDFs, you can also see time spent and downloads.

Track your best-performing content

Content & Sales Influence

If you’ve integrated with HubSpot or Salesforce, the report also shows much each of your assets is impacting total pipeline and deals based on the workspaces associated with those deals.

Track how content impacts revenue

Filter by Collections

You can filter the reports by both collection and date. This can help you narrow down which asset types or themes are performing best. For example, you can see how much reps are sharing your case studies and how that’s impacting deals.
