You asked, we delivered! Dock now has an API and webhooks. Both are available now to Enterprise customers through our early-access program. 

This is your chance to get hands-on with the API and integrate Dock more completely into your product, tool stack, and workflows.

What can you do with Dock’s API?

Dock’s API lets you automate actions in Dock using external tools and triggers. You can do things like:

• Automatically create workspaces from templates
• Complete tasks
• Show/hide workspaces pages/sections
• Manage library assets, boards, and tags
• Update/read custom fields

Dock API inspiration

To give you a little inspiration, here are some examples of what you can do with Dock’s API:

• Custom sales rooms: Trigger the creation of sales workspaces from specific templates based on CRM fields—like a customer’s industry or company size.
• Customer onboarding: Automatically create a personalized Dock workspace every time a customer signs up for your product.
• Dynamic workspaces: Show or hide specific workspace sections based on what a customer has done in your product (e.g., using a feature or completing onboarding steps).
• Task automation: Check off a Dock task when a customer completes an external action (e.g., a key action in your product, or submitting a form).
• Connect Dock to your CRM: Push Dock workspace links to other CRMs (we already have native integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot).

What can you do with webhooks?

Webhooks allow you to push all the workspace activity data out of Dock for use in other applications.

Tools like Zapier have the ability to catch webhooks and connect with other applications.

For example, you can:

• Trigger workflows in your product, CRM, Slack, or other tools based on Dock activity
• Push Dock activity to a data warehouse to analyze the data in your own BI tools
