We’ve released a ton of integration improvements that help you better integrate Dock into your tech stack.

Here’s the TL;DR on all the latest updates:

  • Track Dock activity in Gong: Push all Dock activity to a customer’s Gong timeline
  • Workspace automation: Automatically create and publish a Dock workspace based on CRM stages
  • CRM fields: Update CRM fields directly from Dock’s internal workspace tab
  • Contact cards from CRM: Pull in a list of customer-side contacts from your CRM.
  • Custom code: Add custom code to workspaces for support chat widgets (e.g., Intercom) and tracking pixels.

Keep reading for all the details.

Track Dock activity in Gong

Dock’s Gong integration now lets you push all client activity from Dock to Gong.

When you go to a customer account in Gong, you’ll see all their Dock activity in the timeline, including:

  • Workspace views
  • Message activity
  • Comment activity
  • Embed interactions
  • Link interactions
  • Project plan activity
  • File downloads

Only external (i.e., client) activity will be sent to Gong. Your own team’s activity won’t be logged, with the exception of project plan activity.

The Gong integration is available on the Growth and Enterprise plans. To learn how to set this up, check out our Help Center.

Automatically create workspaces from CRM stage (beta)

By popular demand, you now can set up a rule to automatically create and publish a Dock workspace when you hit a certain opportunity or deal stage in your CRM.

For example, you can automatically create a sales deal room once you’ve qualified a prospect, or auto-create an onboarding workspace once a deal closes.

Note: This is still in beta. We’re planning to add more automation features, conditions, and filters later this summer.

To learn how to set up automation rules, check out our Help Center.

Update CRM fields from Dock

You can now update CRM fields directly from Dock’s internal workspace tab. This is helpful for notetaking and maintaining CRM hygiene without leaving Dock.

For example, if your sales reps follow MEDDPICC, you can have all your fields listed in the Dock backend. After a discovery call, the rep can fill out these fields in Dock and send them to your CRM — instead of having to fill them out in two places.

The fields can update in any direction:

  • Dock to Salesforce
  • Salesforce to Dock, or
  • Synced between Dock and Salesforce.

CRM fields are available for customers on our Growth (Hubspot) and Enterprise (Salesforce) plans.

Pull CRM contacts into contact cards

Contact cards now automatically pull in a list of customer-side contacts from the connected CRM Account.

This makes it easier to map out key stakeholders in your Dock workspaces.

For more info on contact cards, check out our Help Center.

Add custom code to a workspace

You can now add custom code that applies globally to a Dock workspace or template.

This lets you embed page header and footer code for tools like support chat widgets (e.g. Intercom), ad pixels, and more.

To learn how to add custom code to a workspace or template, check out our Help Center.

And this is just the start…

Introducing automation to Dock is the start of a new era for how we work with workspaces. We're really excited to see where this goes — especially once we add more automation rule conditions, filters, and features.

If you have any questions or want to upgrade to our Growth or Enterprise plans to access any of these features, just shoot us a note to support@dock.us.
