Dock just got even more powerful for managing client-facing projects.

Here’s a quick summary of what’s new:

  • ClickUp, Asana, Linear, and Jira Integrations: Pull in tasks from your favorite project management tools into Dock checklists and keep them synced.
  • Project Widget: Consolidate multiple checklists into one project plan.
  • Task Actions: Add more custom action buttons to your checklists with forms, videos, embeds, and more.
  • Form improvements: add multimedia descriptions and export results to CSV

This makes it easier than ever to create intuitive mutual action plans, onboarding checklists, or other project plans in Dock.

Keep on reading for a few quick demo details and all the details on these new features.

✅ ClickUp, Asana, Linear, and Jira (Beta)

Our new task management integrations let you sync tasks from ClickUp, Asana, Linear, and Jira with your Dock checklists.

Once the relevant integration is set up, you’ll have the option of creating a new task from an existing task in your project management tool.

Add existing tasks from ClickUp, Asana, Linear, or Jira to your Dock checklists.

From there, you’ll see a list of existing tasks from the PM tool that you can sync with Dock.

You'll see existing task names, assignees, and more.

Once the task is added to Dock, it will two-way sync all of the following:

  • Issue/task name and description
  • Issue/task due date
  • Issue/task assignee
  • Issue/task comments
  • *Issue status (*only syncs one way to Dock)

This is in beta for now, but we’re excited to see what you build. For full instructions on how to set this up, please check out our Help Center.

This integration is available to Growth and Enterprise customers.

📋 Project Widget

Our new Project widget lets you connect multiple checklists from a workplace into one consolidated project list.

This makes it easier for both your team and your clients to understand all the outstanding tasks in a workspace.

For example, if you have a three-phase onboarding plan, you can have a separate page and checklist for each phase (as to not overwhelm your customer), but also tie the tasks together into one summarized list.

The new Project widget lets you pull in multiple checklists into one plan.

Add existing plans to a project

You have three choices for how to add plans to the project widget:

  • Create from scratch: Add a new checklist
  • Add from workspace: Select an existing plan from the current workplace
  • Create plan from template: Add one of your existing checklist templates
You can add existing checklists into project plans

Filter by status & assignee

In both the Editor and the Shared view, you and your clients can filter a project's tasks by status and assignee.

For Status, you can filter by All, Open, Overdue, and Completed. For Assignee, you can filter by Internal vs. External tasks, by company, or by individual assignee.

Filter by assignee to see your own tasks in a workspace

Set project start & end dates

You can also display start and end dates for the project, either by pulling from the workspace’s key dates or by setting them manually. The Project also showed the percentage of tasks completed.

See a project's start date, end date, and % completed.

🕹️ Task Actions

We’ve added more types of action buttons for Dock tasks in a checklist. Now you can ask customers to complete specific actions, like filling out a form, watching a video, or reading a PDF, directly from the task list.

Check it out in action:

Now, you can create action buttons that directly embed a:

  • Form
  • Link
  • Video
  • Calendar booking link
  • PDF
  • File download
  • File request
  • Any embeddable tool/code
When adding an action button to a task, you'll have all these options.

When your customers click the button, it will pull up the form, video, or whichever option in a pop-up window.

You can also customize the button text on the checklist

📝 Form Upgrades

We’ve upgraded Dock’s native forms with two major improvements:

Multimedia questions

Add rich text descriptions with videos, PDFs, links, and more.

Export results to CSV

Export form results to CSV. You can export a specific question or all of the results into one CSV. We've included SFDC and Hubspot IDs in the export to make matching easy.

Keep sending your feedback

Every one of these features came from a customer request, so keep the suggestions coming.

If you have any product feedback or questions, send them to support@dock.us.
